1969 : PT Yasonta was established by Mr. Martua R. Panggabean & Mr. Jauw Tjong Kie.
June 1970 : Sharp Corporation issued Letter of Appointment to PT Yasonta to become the Sole Agent & assembler of Sharp TV & audio products in Indonesia. PT Yasonta first established its factory at Jl. Swadaya IV, Pulogadung, Jakarta Timur with the total area of 89,367 m2.
5 March 1970 : PT Yasonta started its operation.
11 March 1971 : The first production of Black & White TV.
1974 : PT Yasonta setup radio cassette & refrigerator plant.
1975 : PT Yasonta started the CTV production in Indonesia as industry first.
1977 : PT Yasonta established sales subsidiary, Firma Teladan.
1993 : Sharp became market leader for refrigerator in Indonesia.
1 July 1994 : Started the Joint Venture between PT Yasonta & Sharp Corporation. PT Sharp Yasonta Indonesia (SYI) was then established.
December 1994 : PT Sharp Yasonta Antarnusa (SYA) was established, as sister’s company, to handle the Sales & Marketing of PT SYI’s products. PT Panadian Eka Jaya (PEJ) was afterwards established to handle the After Sales Service in Indonesia and imported products.
17 July 1998 : PT SYI established Bounded Audio Area for Export.
18 September 1998 : PT SYI received ISO 9002 Certificate.
1999 : Sharp became market leader for CTV in Indonesia.
13 October 2000 : PT SYI received ISO 14001 Certificate.
December 2001 : PT SYI achieved 3 millions units of CTV production & 2 millions units of refrigerator, both are the first in Indonesia.
1 May 2002 : PEJ was shut down. The after sales service & imported products were taken over by PT SYA.
27 June 2002 : PT SYI started to export Sharp Home Theater to USA and Canada.
15 July 2002 : PT SYA opened its Sales Office at Menara Jamsostek, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Selatan.
February 2003 : Started the mass production of Flat-Screen CTV.
October 2004 : Started the production of Plasmacluster Flat-Screen CTV.
2005 : PT SYA achieved Call Center Award.
April 2005 : PT SYI achieved 7 millions units of CTV production.
June 2005 : Plasmacluster Ion Technology was proven effective against H5N1 avian influenza virus & polio.
01 May 2005 : PT SYI & PT SYA merged into PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID).
22 July 2005 : PT SEID achieved its first Indonesian Golden Brand Award for refrigerator category & its second Indonesian Best Brand Award for CTV category.
30 September 2005 : PT SEID achieved Indonesian Customer Satisfaction Award
28 Maret 2006 : PT SEID Achieved Indonesian Customer Loyalty Award ( ICLA ) 2006 in Washing Machine category for its success in keeping and maintaining customers' loyalty
26 April 2006 : PT SEID achieved GfK 2005 Asia No.1 Awards for CRT TV, Microwave Oven and Refrigeration categories
27 Juli 2006 : PT SEID achieved its second Indonesian Golden Brand Award 2006 for refrigerator category & its first Indonesian Golden Brand Award 2006 for CTV category
30 November 2006 : PT SEID achieved its second Solo Customer Satisfaction Index 2006 for refrigerator category & its first Solo Customer Satisfaction Index 2006 for Television category
1 Januari 2007 : PT SEID achieved Top Brand Award 2003 - 2007 from Marketing Magazine for Product Category CRT TV & Refrigerator
26 April 2007 : PT SEID achieved GfK 2006 Asia No.1 Awards for CRT TV and Microwave Oven categories
